About CBSE NET Exam

On behalf of UGC, the Central Board of Secondary Education announces holding of the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 08th July 2018 (Sunday) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor both. UGC NET Result 2018 will be announced by the CBSE in the month of July 2018.

 

 

 

NET Past-Year Result

With the UGC NET exam being successfully conducted on 5th November 2017, the appeared candidates are eager and have an eye out for the results and further updates. The result of the same has been declared on 2nd January 2018.

How the cut-offs are decided for UGC NET Exam?

The CBSE UGC NET procedure for the declaration of Results and Cut-offs consists of the following steps:

  1. The candidates are required to score the minimum marks of both Paper-1 and Paper-2 separately as given below:

  1. Among all the students who reach step 2, a merit list of the candidates will be put up subject-wise based on their aggregate marks in each paper
  2. The top 6% candidates of Step 2 will be declared qualified in the NET exam for the Assistant Professor only
  3. A separate merit list for the award of JRF will be prepared from among the NET qualified candidates figuring in the merit list prepared under step III by using the formula mentioned below:-

Steps to Check UGC NET Result

To check the result, follow the steps:

  • Visit the official website of NET Result.
  • You will be on the NET Result Page
  • Enter your Application number, Roll no and Date of Birth
  • Click Submit
  • Check your result and download it for future reference

Procedure for Re-claim of marks

The ones who are unsatisfied with their marks need to send their requests to Director, NET Unit, CBSE, H-149, Sector – 63, Noida – 201309, Distt. Gautam Budh Nagar (UP). The request needs to back-up with proof from a standard reference book/literature along with a DD of INR 5000/- in favor of Secretary CBSE (payable at Delhi/Noida).

The requests sent after the last date will be canceled which is 1 month after the Result declaration. If a valid request is found, the answer key(s) will be processed and the marks of the candidates for the JRF and/or the eligibility of Assistant Professor and qualify additional candidates without changing the result of candidates qualified provisionally as per this notification.
