The National Mean-cum-Merit Scholarship Examination, 2018 (for the student studying in class VIII) will be held on 05 November 2018 (Sunday) at different centers of West Bengal. Directorate of School Education, West Bengal, will conduct the examination said. Admit Card
Admission letter or admit card has been published for West Bengal NMMS 2018, candidates can now download it from the official website or from the link given below. If any problem occurs, please contact the concerned office of District Inspector (SE) of schools till 3.11.2018.

How to apply?
Step I: Click the 'New User Register Here' link and fill in the personal details with a mobile number (a mobile number and once used e-mail, can not be used for registration for a second time) and registration Do it. A registration number will be generated which should be noted with the given password for future entry into the system.
Step II:
Sign in to your account using the registration number and password
Edit the form and fill in other details and upload a scanned copy of your passport photo. The image file for the photo should be in .jpeg / jpg format and the maximum size limit is 20KB. Save form. This form can be edited until you lock.
Step III:
- The applicant must take the printed application form and certificate format along with copies of the other required documents mentioned below Head / School Head (HOI) and signed with the official seal must have received the certificate and signed certificate will be received from his / her account. With a scanned copy:
- Parent income certificate
- The first page of bank passbook
- If enabled, caste certificate issued by the competent authority
- Disability certificate (40% and above should be certified by the State Government / Central Government's competent medical board), if applicable.
The latest signed by the concerned School Authority till August 31, 2017. The maximum size of scanned documents should be 100 KB.
- Caste certificate and disability certificate are essential for scheduled castes / scheduled tribes and physically handicapped candidates respectively. The application can be done only upon completion of certificates of HOI and other necessary documents uploaded, otherwise, applicant's candidature will be canceled.
- The applicant's candidature can be canceled at any level of the examination process without any reference if any wrong information is received in the filled application form of the said candidate. Apart from this, the application form has been rejected briefly with incomplete/irrelevant information/photo / scanned certificates.
- The notification will be given in the notice section for downloading the online letter. Please check the scholarship portal for that and give more information about the exam.
Eligibility Criteria
Students of class VIII, who receive 55% and above marks in the final examination of class VII, will be given a centrally sponsored NMMS examination, 2017 (5% discount for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Disability of handicapped candidates) for St VIII Are eligible for.
Students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, and State Government residential schools or any private school are not entitled to get the scholarship. Students should be admitted to recognized government schools/government aided schools / local bodies and government-sponsored schools, which include non-residential seminars.
West Bengal NMMS Other Information
Every applicant should have a bank account. This account can be either a single or a joint account (in the case of a joint bank account, he should be the first holder of that AC). After submission of bank details, it is final and no request will be made regarding the change in bank A / C number.
Applicants, whose base cards are, link the bank account with their Aadhar card positively and mention it in the given place in the application.
There are two educational districts in addition to 23 revenue districts in West Bengal. They are - Barrackpacker Educational District (Sub-Division: - Barkarpur and Bidhaanagar) and Siliguri Education District (Sub-Division: - Siliguri)
Apart from this, the newly built districts include Eastern Burdwan (Subdivision: Katwa, Kalna, Bardan Sadar North, Bardan Sadar South), West Barwaran (Asansol and Durgapur, sub-divisional Sahara), Kalimpong (Sahyapong subdivision of Kalimpong subdivision) Jhargram (Sahar of Jhargram sub-division) has two newly sub-divisions, i.e. Jhalda in Purulia district and Mirik in Darjeeling district.
- If an applicant is studying in any school under Barrackpore or Bidhaanagar subdivision, then he will have to select Barrackpore district instead of 24th November or Kolkata.
- If the candidate is studying in any school under Siliguri sub-division, then he will have to choose Siliguri as a district instead of Dalit.
The applicant should opt for the district in which he is actually involved in the administrative jurisdiction of the concerned district.
