West Bengal NTSE 2017-18 School is organized by the Government of West Bengal, Education School Education Bikash Bhawan, 7th place, Salt Lake City, Kolkata-7000 91. It is a talent search examination conducted for class X students every year. This year 5th November, 2017 was held in various centers of West Bengal.

Admit Card

Instructions to fill the Application Form online

Step 1: Click the 'New User Register Here' link and fill in the personal details with a mobile number (once the mobile number and email id were used, cannot be used for registration for the second time) and register. A registration number will be generated which should be noted with the given password to log into the system in the future.

Step 2

• Log in to your account using the registration number and password
• Edit the form and fill in the other details and upload a scanned copy of the photo of your passport size. The image file for the photo should be in .jpeg / jpg format and the maximum size limit is 20KB. Save form This form can be edited until you lock.
• Once the form is filled with correct details and is completed in all cases, it should be locked. Prints of the school/institution (HOI) should print out the printout of the application filed with the certificate format.

Step 3:

• The applicant has to take out the printed application form and certificate from the Head of School / Institution (HOI) where he is studying and the certificate is signed with the authorized stamp and the signed certificate is uploaded in his account with a scan to do. Copies of:
• If enabled, caste certificate issued by the competent authority
• Disability certificate (40% and above should be certified by the State Government / Central Government's competent medical board), if applicable.

- Latest signed by the concerned School Authority till August 31, 2017. The maximum size of scanned documents should be 100 KB.

• Caste Certificate and disability certificate (s) are required only for scheduled caste / scheduled tribes and physically handicapped candidates respectively. The application can be done only upon completion of certificates of HOI and other necessary documents uploaded, otherwise, applicant's candidature will be canceled.
• Applicant's candidature can be canceled at any stage of the examination process without any reference if any wrong / incorrect information is available in the filled application form of the said candidate. The further application form has been briefly rejected with incomplete/irrelevant information/photo / scanned certificates.•         The notification notice will be notified on the notice section for downloading the online letter. Please go to any more information related to the scholarship portal and examination for that.Eligibility CriteriaUnder the WBSE / WBBME / ICSE / CBSE in West Bengal, students of class XX of any affiliated and accredited school will get 50% marks in the final examination of Class IX and 40 (for SC / ST / Physically challenged candidates 40 % State level NTSE, eligible to be present in 2018Under the NIOS / West Bengal Council Rabindra Open Schooling, registered students under Open Distance Learning (ODL) and received 50% and above marks in the pre-10th examination (for SC / ST / Physically handicapped candidates) 40% and above) will also be eligible to appear in the examination, provided the student is below 18 years (till 1 July, 2017), the student is not employed. And they will attend class XII exam for the first time. In the case of study centers under ODL mode, the coordinator or authorized person will certify the necessary details of the candidate's approval number, code etc.

  West Bengal NTSE other Information

• There is no income bar for applying for this scholarship.
• The government does not charge any fee for this examination.
• There are two educational districts in addition to 23 revenue districts in West Bengal. They are - Barrackpacker Educational District (Subdivision: - Barkarpur and Bidhaanagar) and Siliguri Educational District (in which only the Siliguri sub-division is included), West Burdwan (comprising of Asansol and Durgapur subdivisions), Kalimpong (comprised of the Kalimpong sub-division), Jhargram (included: - In addition to newly created districts Purbab Burdwan (Katwa, Kalna, Burdwan Sadar North Burdwan Sadar South Sub- Mandal) are the two newly formed colonies of Jhargram sub-division. Mirik in Jhalda and Darjeeling district in Purulia district.
• If the candidate is studying at any school in the jurisdiction of Barrackpun or Bidhaynagar administrative sub-division in that program, then he has to select Barrackpore as the district instead of Answer 24 Paragana or Kolkata.
• If the candidate is studying at any school under Siliguri administrative sub-division in that event, then he/she should choose Siliguri as district instead of the index.

  The applicant should opt for the district in which he actually lives in the administrative jurisdiction of the concerned district.
