Uttarakhand National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2017 – 18: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (UK), Dehradun, will be organized by the first level National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) for class 10th. Candidates who qualify Phase I of the NTSE will be eligible to appear in the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Phase II organized by NCERT, New Delhi.

Application fee: Candidates please note that Application fee for this exam is Nil.
Eligibility to appear at the examination:
- All students of class X students studying in accredited schools are eligible to be present for the phase-I examination conducted by the state. No domicile restriction
- Students enrolled under Open Distance Learning (ODL) will also be eligible for the scholarship, provided the student is below 18 years (by special year 1 July).
- They should have passed the Class IX annual examination securing at least 65% marks or equivalent (55% for reserved categories)
Admit Card
Ensure that the admission letter or admit card is not separated from BEO online admission form. It will be refunded after the allocation of office application form roll number. It is advised that at least one week before the candidate's examination, the admission paper should be taken from the concerned Block Education Office.
The examination will be held on two sessions (Paper - 1) 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, second session (Paper II) - 01:15 pm to 02:45 am on November 05, 2017, Sunday
Exam pattern
Details about the papers are as follows:
- Paper I: Part I is limited to the Mental Ability Test (MAT) in which there are 50 compulsory questions and Part II language mandatory examination Hindi or English (LAT) which contains 50 mandatory questions
- Paper II: Educational qualification test (SAT) is limited to 100 compulsory questions in eight subjects (History, Geography, Civics, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics). Each question has 1 (a) mark, no negative marking will be there.
