Punjab National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2017 - 2018 - Science State Institute of Education, Punjab on 10.15.2015 to select 99 students of 10th National Level Examination on 05.11.2017 for the students of the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2017 - 2018. NCERT will be organized on 03 May 2018 by New Delhi. Details of the Punjab NTSE 2017 - 2018 application form, admission letter, date of examination, question paper, key results and other details are given below.

Punjab NTSE 2017 – 2018

State Science Education Institute, Punjab has organized State Level Talent Search Examination for the students of class 10th for the year 2017-2018. Students studying in 10th standard in State Government, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya or any other type of recognized/affiliated schools are located in Punjab having minimum 70%, should be in the general category and physically in SC / ST / 9 For students with disabilities, 55% marks are eligible for class yearly exams.

Punjab NTSE Admit Card

Admission Letter / Hall tickets will be issued by Punjab NSSE 2017 - 2018 SISE, Punjab. According to the school/student schedule can download their admission papers from CES official website in Punjab.

Examination Pattern

Duration of examination will be of three hours. There will be one question paper consisting of two parts. The medium of examination shall be Punjabi/ English.

  • Mental Ability Test (MAT) : 50 marks and
  • Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) : 150 Marks (Aptitude Test (SAT) : 100 marks + Language Comprehensive Test (English) : 50 marks)

 

So the test will consist of 200 multiple choice questions of one mark each. Under SAT there are nine subjects.

  2. Chemistry
  3. Biology
  4. Maths
  5. History
  6. Geography
  7. Civics
  8. Economics
  9. English

Qualifying Marks: Qualifying marks for candidates from the General category are 40% In MAT, SAT and Language test and for candidates from SC, ST and PH is 32%.

Language Test: Qualifying in nature and Marks obtained for Language Test will not be counted for final merit.

 

Application Form

Application for Punjab NTSE 2017 to 2018 is available for Class X, at www.epunjabschool.gov.in. Admission form can fill the login ID on the school education portal at www.epunjabschool.gov.in. A direct link to the online application for Punjab NTSE 2017 - 2018 Class X has given below.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum 70% marks for general category and 55% marks for SC/ST/ physically challenged students in the 9th class annual examination are eligible.

Reservation

  • 15% scholarships will be reserved for students belonging to the SC category
  • 5% scholarships- for students belonging to the ST category
  • 4% for Physically Challenged Group of Students,

 

Scholarships

Based on the National Talent Search Examination, (Phase-II) 1000 scholarship NCERT will be provided by New Delhi. The amount of scholarship will be as follows:

(A) Scholarship Rs. 12th to 12th - 1250 hours per month

(B) Scholarship of Rs.2000 / - per month for undergraduates and post-graduates

(C) The amount of scholarship for Ph.D. can be determined according to the rules of the UGC.
