For the development of any state, education is very important. This is the reason that Punjab initiates an initiative to promote education in the state and set up the Punjab School Education Board in 1969. Its headquarters is in its SAS. Nagar, Mohali. The Board is responsible for public schools courses, conducting examinations, publishing textbooks, organizing teacher training, administering scholarship and responsible for all those activities which can improve the quality of education in the state.
