About CBSE Proficiency Test 2023
The CBSE proficiency test is an optional exam conducted by CBSE to assess the individual skills of the students in various subjects. It tests the mental abilities of the students acquired by them up to their secondary education. The in turn helps CBSE schools to set their goals and targets in future education planning.
Eligibility Criteria for CBSE Proficiency Test 2023
Student studying in secondary or senior secondary school affiliated to CBSE and appearing in the current year final examination (School or Board) is eligible for the test.
Application Process for CBSE Proficiency Test 2023
- Fill the online exam form available on CBSE website
- Take the print-out of the form and get it signed from the Principal of your school
- Submit the fees in the form of Demand Draft along with the signed form to the address Assistant Professor & Joint Director (A&V), Central Board of Secondary Education, 17 Rouse Avenue, New Delhi-110 002
- The Demand Draft needs to be in favor of the “Secretary, CBSE, Delhi ”

Pattern for CBSE Proficiency Test 2023
- It is an MCQ exam carrying 100 marks
- Total duration is two and half hour
- The syllabus is based on the class IX and X syllabus prescribed by CBSE
- The exam is totally based on the concept application of the different topics taught to them
- There is negative marking
