Results of Tamilnadu NTSE 2017 have been announced online, at dge.tn.gov.in. It contains basic details such as roll number and points in each subject. Candidates can see it from the link below. Candidates will be selected on the basis of cutoff.

Answer Key
Tamil Nadu NTSE 2017 has been published by the Government Examination Directorate, Tamil Nadu. The answer key has been released as a PDF file and contains answers to all the questions asked in the examination. The candidate will be able to estimate his score through the answers key of NTSE.

Admit Card
The admit card for Stage I NTSE was released online. Candidates can download it by submitting username and password. Last year, candidates were able to download admission through school and center. Therefore, this same year can also be applicable. Entrance letter is an important document and without this, the candidates will not be allowed to take the exam.

Exam Pattern of Tamil Nadu NTSE 2017
The test pattern for the exam is given below:
- Method of examination: The examination will be conducted in section and paper-based mode only. Candidates must mark the answers on the OMR sheet.
- Duration: Candidates will get 170 minutes to solve the question paper.
- Examination type: Tamilnadu NTSE Examination will be divided into the Mental Ability Examination, Language Comprehensive Testing, and Educational Qualification Test.
- Points: In all, the examination will be 200 marks.

Application Form
Candidates can apply only through the school/institute, which they are participating. School Head Master can download the application form from the link below. Application forms are then presented to the candidates, who are required to fill them neatly. After completing the details, the candidates deposit it back to school and pay the rupees. 50 as the registration fee

Eligibility Criteria for Tamil Nadu NTSE
The criteria for eligibility for Tamil Nadu NTSE 2017 is as given below:
- Candidate must be studying in class XI.
- The institute, from which the candidate is pursuing class XI, must be recognized.
- The awardees of NMMS may also apply for NTSE exam 2017.
Quota and Reservation under Tamil Nadu NTSE 2017
Quota: In all, 220 candidates will be selected for NTSE 2017 for Tamil Nadu.
Reservation: The reservation under NTSE is only for the Physically Challenged candidates. Until last year, the reservation was of 3%. However, now it has been increased to 4%.
Scholarship Amount Offered by Tamil Nadu State
The qualifiers of Tamil Nadu NTSE will be granted scholarship for three years. The amount of it will be as below.
- Class XI to XII – Rs. 1,250/- per month.
- Undergraduates and Postgraduates Course – Rs. 2,000/- per month.
- Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. – As per the amount fixed on the basis of UGC norms.
Syllabus
The course of the examination will be the same as the candidates are studying in the school. However, it should be noted that the SAT course is class 11 and twelve through such state, CBSE and ICSE board.
