Himachal Pradesh NTSE 2018 - 2019 - Academic Research and Training Council, Solan (Himachal Pradesh) has issued Notification for Class X for HP Talent Search Examination (HPTSE / NTSE) 2019-2019. Application form like Eligibility criteria, Admit card, examination pattern, result etc. are given below for 2018-2019 for Himachal Pradesh (HPTSE / NTSE) class.
State Council of Educational Research and Training, Solan (Himachal Pradesh) conducted the HP Talent Search Examination (HPTSE / NTSE) 2018 - 2019 in November 2018 for students of class 10th at different centers in Himachal Pradesh. Candidates qualifying for stage I of NTSE (State Quota Fixed) will be eligible to appear in National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Phase-II, organized by NCERT, New Delhi. Examination Fee
- General Category: Rs. 40/-
- SC/ ST/ PCG Category : Rs. 30/-
Eligibility Criteria
- Any regular students of the class can be present in this examination in the academic session 2018-2019. They must have passed at least 60% marks (General category) or 55% (SC / ST / CWSN) IX classes in 2017-18 from any recognized school in HP. Attach the attested copy of the grade IX digit letter.
- The failed candidate in the class is not eligible to sit in the examination.
- Students, who have registered under the Open Distance Learning Program, are eligible for under 18 years of age and not employed.
- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe should attach proof copies of certified certificates from SDM / Tehsildar / Naib Tehsildar.
According to PWD Act, disability certificate (not less than 40%) should be issued by CDMO (Chief District Medical Officer) without the prescribed SC / ST/disability category, the concession will not be granted.
Admit Card
Admit card will be issued by the Educational Research and Training Council, Solan for Himachal Pradesh (HPTSE / NTSE) 2018 exam. Candidates will have to download their Admission Letter to be present for the examination. Ensure that the admission form is linked to the application form.
Exam Pattern
Stage – I: The Examination conducted in two sessions on the same day. The question paper is divided into three parts.

Each question has 1 mark. There will be no negative points in the state level examination. Write your roll number and center code number as given in the admit card on the answer sheet. Do not mark more than 1 answer for any question. No credit will be given in the case of overwriting/cutting or depth of more than one bubble in the answer sheet. Eraser / Whitener is not allowed to correct the answer.
The minimum qualifying marks for general category candidates will be 40% and for SC / ST / PCG, 35% will be for each exam.
Stage - II (National Level): 34 candidates will be selected in Stage-I and their names will be recommended to NCERT, New Delhi. They will be eligible to be present at the stage-2 of NTSE. Candidates who are selected in Stage-2 will be awarded scholarship. There is no provision for state quota on stage.
- Date of Exam: 13 May 2018
- Stage-II will also comprise of MAT, SAT, and LT.
34 candidates will be selected in Stage I and their names will be recommended to NCERT, New Delhi. They will be eligible to appear in Stage II of the NTSE.
