Overview:

The CISCE or Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations is one of the most centralized boards of secondary and higher secondary education. It conducts the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Exam for class X, the Indian School Certificate (ISC) Exam for class XII and the Certificate for Vocational Education (CVE) Exam for class XII.

ICSE Board exams started from 26th February, 2018. Students wait eagerly for their results to get announced. The students of ICSE Class 10th can now check their results here. The results of ICSE get declared by the month of May on their official website.

 

Expected Arrival of ICSE Class 10 Results 2018:

The results of the academic year 2017-18 is expected to be declared by 14th May 2018 at 3 pm. Until then, students can relax or can utilize their time to improve on their personal skills and develop themselves.

 

How to Check the ICSE Result:

The students can check the result in two ways:

Online:

  1. Head on to the official website of ICSE http://www.cisce.org/ .
  2. Click on the Results Tab and select ICSE.
  3. Enter your Unique Id (UID) and enter the Captcha.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. If you entered the details correctly, your result will be displayed.
  6. Check it and take print-outs for future reference.

SMS:

To receive the result via SMS just type ICSE [space] UID and send the message to 09248082883

 

About Grading Scheme for ICSE Board Class 10

  • Minimum passing marks - 35%.
  • Range of Grade- 1 - 9. (1 is the best score)
  • Grade 1 and 2 - Very Good Performance
  • 3, 4 and 5 - Pass with Credit
  • 6 and 7 - Pass
  • 8 and 9 - Fail

Previous Year Result:

The results for Class 10 of the ICSE Board for the academic year 2016-17 was announced on 29th May 2017 which emerged Muskan Abdullah Pathan from Pune and Ashwin Rao from Bengaluru as the toppers of class 10 ICSE with both scoring 99.4% marks.

The Pass Percentage of ICSE has risen with time over the years. As Compared to CBSE Board, the marking of ICSE board is considered to be lenient. The overall pass percentage saw an increase of about 1.22% as compared to the previous year.

The “Pass Percentage” of ICSE has increased from Year 2013 to 2017. It can be clearly seen in this table. 62 Thousand Students have passed in ICSE board within last 4 years.

Just like many other cases, here too, girls have been outperforming boys in terms of overall pass percentage.

The region wise analysis shows that foreign region of the Board is on the top.

Grading System:

The grading system helps to place students with slight difference in marks in to the same category. It also helps remove minor mistakes which happen during the process of paper checking and marks evaluation.
